The location was stunning and beautiful, with a bus station within walking distance. A night market and regular market were conveniently located right next door. - Despite not being appealing in photos, the standard double room was beautiful and had a lovely view. - the price was very reasonable at GBP 16.

I loved that the room was great value for money and reasonably spacious with excellent views, double-bed, a bathroom. The staff team was really helpful and attentive. The location was quiet - so close to the closest restaurant, and other side of town where most of the restaurants are.

I recently stayed at a budget-friendly hotel in Nong Khiaw for a few days. The room was clean and had all the essentials, and even though there was no AC, the fan was sufficient to keep the room cool in April. The highlight was the breathtaking mountain and river view from the balcony, which I believe is one of the best in town. The bathroom had hot water, and the WiFi, although on and off, served its purpose. The staff were friendly, despite limited English, and the location was great, with shops and restaurants within a short walk. it was a pleasant and comfortable stay at Nam Ou River Lodge.

Spent Christmas here and it was amazing! the views of the karst mountains and the river were breathtaking. the location was perfect, with a pleasant walk into the nearby village for meals. the staff were attentive and helpful, and most had sufficient English to communicate effectively. the clean white linen was a nice touch. We also loved the fact that they arranged a great boat trip up the river with an excellent boatman and an English-speaking guide. a wonderful Christmas experience!

For the price we paid, Nam Ou River Lodge was an absolute steal. The room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely terrace with stunning views. The location, nestled amidst the karst mountains and overlooking the river, was simply breathtaking. The staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and were always ready to assist us. Special shout-out to Mr. Mang, whose enthusiasm for his tours was contagious. We had a wonderful boat trip up the river thanks to his arrangements. a memorable experience.

The breakfast menu could use a bit more variety to make it even better.

We had a great stay at a lovely lodge with an amazing view! the room was clean and the bed was comfy. Fresh towels, toilet roll, soap, and drinking water were provided for our second night. We booked tours with Mr Mang, the owner, and had an incredible time exploring the area. the location was perfect, being on the less touristy side of Nong Khiaw, allowing us to experience local life. Plus, it was just a short walk to all the restaurants. Mr Mang was a fantastic host, even joining us for a drink. a wonderful experience at Nam Ou River Lodge. Cons: It was all superb! 😊.
